Whether you discovered Comeback Snacks last week or you have been crunching along with us since 2018, I see you, I appreciate you, and I am endlessly grateful. We were built one kernel at a time, and every order, every message, and every movie night bowl of popcorn has helped us grow to be where we are today.
With Valentine’s Day coming up, love is very much in the air. Or at least chocolate is. Valentine’s Day always makes me laugh because it reminds me of one of the least romantic moments of my life. While I was in prison, I was actually in a relationship. I know, not exactly a Hallmark movie setup. It did not last long, and by the time Valentine’s Day rolled around, I had been dumped. No cards, no flowers, and definitely no gourmet gifts. It sucked. There is no other way to say it.
I felt heartbroken, embarrassed, and pretty sorry for myself for a short while. Then something shifted. Instead of letting that moment define me, I let it fuel me. I recovered from the heartbreak and went straight into building what would eventually become Comeback Snacks. That breakup became part of my comeback story, and honestly, I would not change a thing. Sometimes life burns the popcorn a little before it gets it just right.
